For those of you who forget, Jane and Bob live at 1266 Louden Heights Road in Charleston.

Upcoming Election
We are rapidly approaching the time of year when we hold elections for officers and board members for the coming year. We will be holding elections in March. If you are interested in being considered for a position as an officer or a Board member please pass your interest on to Dave Yaussy, another officer or board member.

Typically, while elections are open to anyone, we have traditionally asked members to serve first as board members, and then move up through the ranks as officers.  We will also be asking members to volunteer for committee assignments, to the extent you want to work on specific projects rather than committing to a busier position on the Board.

Shelter Box Program
Congratulations!  Your contribution for a Shelter Box, along with other presidents-elect in our District (7550) and the northern District (7530) at PETS in Flatwoods last March is making a difference to people that are in desperate need in Pakistan following a devastating Cyclone (Yemyin).

The PETS Box number is 3603 and information on our box can be found online at shelterbox.org.  I have attached a before and after photo from the area where our box was deployed.

Our district is disbursing $4,000 for 4 Shelter Boxes from contributions made during our District Conference at The Greenbrier in November.  I will send you the box numbers upon receipt so you can locate them when they are used.

In addition, there are several clubs in our District that are purchasing Shelter Boxes.  At this point it looks as if our District Shelter Box initiative will be around 10 this year. Our District is truly making a difference in our local and world community.
