GSE Team Visit
Plans are well under way for the GSE Team’s visit May 17 – May 20. We have secured 4 host families. We are in need of one additional host family. Won’t you please help out? Chizuru Ishi is a Japanese traditional small drama player with an appreciation of the arts, including pictures, dramas, and dancing. We know you will find being a host family a truly unique and rewarding experience. We’d like to thank the following host families for already stepping up:

Ellen Archibald and Daniel Steers (member of the Charleston Rotary Club) for hosting Masao Seki and Rebecca and Tom Tinder for hosting Yasuko Yamagishi. We’d also like to thank Chip (Warren) VanAlsburg, for hosting Yuki Yashiro and Di Long & Bill McDavid for hosting Sayuri Kitahara. Both are members of the Charleston Rotary Club. As a side note, most of the team’s activities have already been planned out because they will be here such a short time (more on that within a few weeks).

Please e-mail Debbie High at debbie.high@gmail.com to show your support by being a host family for Chizuru Ishi.

Speaker Notes

Many thanks to Tom Vasailles for talking to us about spring planting and gardening tips in general.  For those of us who are eager to get Spring, sprung so we can do more than think about getting out in the yard and sunshine, Tom provided plenty of tips we can put to good use.

Upcoming Speaker

Join us next week when we welcome Vera McCormick, Kanawha County Clerk to talk about Election Laws.
