Weekly Hightlights

Mark the Date
Our annual changing of the guard party will be held again this year at the home of Robert Chilton and Jane Cline on June 27th. The party will serve as a thank you to Dave Yaussy for all the work he has done this year and to celebrate and welcome our new president, Karen Price as she takes the helm of this motley crew. Ruth Lemmon will be in charge of signing people up so that we can keep track of who is bringing what. So please check with Ruth Lemmon before or after the meeting to add your special dish to the menu.

Baby Month
Just a reminder for those of you who want to participate. Vandalia Rotary will be donating newborn and infant clothing and supplies this year and you can help by bringing what any infant or mother will find helpful getting through the day. If you've had children, were one and can remember what it was like or even if you can't - just bring for donation any supplies a mother or father can use. Donation days are July 11th, 18th & 25th.

Festivall Is Upon Us
A City Becomes a Work of Art kicks off this weekend and it looks like there will be something for everyone. Check it out at www.festivallcharleston.com to see what events might strike your fancy. And if you're lost or need directions check out this creative mappery compliments of The Charleston Gazette.

WEBMAP: Click through our animated, musical map for FestivALL from June 20-24. Watch the crash! Find the cat? Feed that meter!

Welcome New Member
Joe High is our newest member and according to him while his last name has nothing to do with his profession - he doesn't even inhale. Joe is the Health Systems Director for CAMC pharmacies - five of them in all - and the pharmacies in this chain dispense 160,000 legal doses of medicine each month. We welcome Joe to the Charleston Vandalia Rotary Club and look forward to seeing him each Wednesday morning.

Paul Harris Fellow Program
Beni Kudva is making it an annual tradition to match the remaining amount new members have to become Paul Harris Fellows. This is the fourth year of his generous offer so if you have a remaining amount due to become a full-fledged Paul Harris Fellow, talk to John Jividen and he'll let you know how the match program works.

Rotary Minute
We want to thank Michael Keeney for giving our Rotary Minute so that we can all be aware that there are 13 clubs worldwide who have e-club meetings. In these clubs all you need to do to attend or make up a meeting is visit online for an hour. Pretty slick.

Princeton Golf Trip
The trip is on and so is the game for June 29th in Princeton. Charleston Vandalia Rotary will pay for your entry fee if you'd like to sign up so if you're interested talk to John Jividen before or after the meeting.
