Speaker Notes

Many thanks to Rita Ray, retiring Executive Director of WV Public Broadcasting for sharing some highlights of the new Ken Burns Film 'THE WAR'. The sneak preview she shared showcased a powerful documentary that premiered Sunday, September, 23rd at 8pm on WPBS. THE WAR explores the history and horror of the Second World War as it follows the fortunes of a handful of ordinary men and women who were caught up in one of the greatest cataclysms in human history. If you missed the first part of the seven-part series contact your local PBS station for times and listing.
